MorrisonDance will be exploring changing landscapes in a disorienting and non-sensical mashup of Vonnegut meets Busby Berkley meets Pina Bausch. Directed and conceived by Sarah Morrison, “dancEscapes of the FuturePast” has been created in collaboration with MorrisonDance performers Amanda Clark, MaryPat Dorr, Jenni Hankey, Taliesin Reid Haugh, David Lenahan, Leah Smith and Dana Wasielewski.

In their second year experimenting with vertical dancing in harnesses, MorrisonDance is exploring the “FuturePast” theme of this year’s festival with “Utopian Dancers” leading a Dystopian Vonnegut-style family through different dance styles of the “FuturePast,” activating the unusual set built and designed by the Ingeneers of IngenuityFest.

This 40 minute main stage presentation can be watched in its entirety, or viewed in pieces and parts as you participate in the many events the festival has to offer!

This collaborative presentation with IngenuityFest has been supported by the Ohio Arts Council’s ArtsNEXT program.
