Mawusi Nenonene is a performance intern with MorrisonDance, and a recent graduate from Baldwin Wallace University with a degree in Dance Medicine & Management and minor degree in Biology. She is trained in the areas of Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, and Hip Hop and has received training at the nationally recognized companies Pontecorvo Ballet School, Dayton Ballet, and Dayton Contemporary Dance Company. Mawusi has also presented her own choreography at The American Dance Festival at Playhouse Square, The Cleveland Dance Festival in Tremont, The Series: Vol. IV Showcase in New York, and Baldwin Wallace University’s production of fyoo zh en. Following her performance with MorrisonDance in Dance Meets Science: Quantum Entanglement, Mawusi will be moving to Ghana to study West African Dance and Choreography through the University of Ghana’s Dance MFA program.
